We ask local athetes what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving.

"I'm thankful for my family and friends, teachers who care about my education, and the good health of those around me."

"I'm thankful for my family and all the blessing and support they've given me, God in my life, my teammates and friends for being there for me through the good and the bad, and wrestling having come into my life and change me for the better."

"I'm thankful for my health because when I am healthy I'm able to stay fit and active. I'm thankful for my family because they're always there for me and they always support me. I'm also thankful that I never have to go hungry because there are a lot of people who can't say that."

"I'm thankful for family because they are there no matter what through good times and bad times they are very encouraging, for technology because not only does it make everything easier, but I learn so much from it and you can communicate with whoever you want to through different types of communication, and for basketball because I love it. My life revolves around basketball. Everything I do depends on basketball. Basketball is my ticket to college and there I plan to further my education and become a great professional in a business. I don't know what I would do without basketball."

"First thing I'm thankful for is my family because they have always supported me no matter what I have done, even if I am having a bad game they are always cheering me on and they never give up on me. The next thing I'm thankful for is my teammates because they are all good friends and I know no matter what happens they will always have my backs and I will always have their backs. The final thing I'm thankful for is my school and teachers because I know for a fact they really care about me and want to see me succeed out of basketball and have a succesful life when I go to college."
