Last year both teams went to the state finals with OCP winning their 2nd straight 1A championship and Olympia finishing as 6A runner-up.

Both squads with a new look in 2009-2010 met up Wednesday night in the Hagerty Tip-Off Classic.

The Wildcats beat the Bears three games to one Wednesday night to advance to the regional semifinals.

Winter Park: 3
Winter Springs: 1

25-22, 15-25, 25-23, 25-22

Players of the Game

Camile Indest - Winter Park - The senior middle led all scorers with 17 kills.

Hannah Scholz - Winter Park - The senior outside hitter had 10 kills and 25 digs for the Wildcats.

Shelby Purlsey - Winter Springs - The LSU committ had 30 assists and three kills for the Bears.

Hazel Ortiz - Winter Springs - Just a sophomore, Ortiz was in most of the action on the night tallying 14 kills, two blocks, and two aces.
