Girl's Basketball Seminole County Showdown
Two of the state's best Lake Mary and Lake Howell go head to head in a district contest and our Showdown of the Week.
Lake Mary, 19-1, are looking for payback for that lone loss which came at Lake Howell 66-56 on December 10th. The Rams are led by junior forward Morgan Jones who leads the team in almost every statistical category including scoring, rebounds, assists, and blocks.
Lake Howell's seniors Tynia Mckenzie and Kasie Parker are averaging just under 17 points per game for the Silverhawks scoring attack.
Last year, the Rams finished just short of the 6A state title falling to Miami Norland 27-25 in the final, while Lake Howell capped off a stellar season with a 50-39 win over Nova to claim the 5A crown.
Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Lake Mary.
