Mainland 21DeLand 14Buccaneer and Bulldog fans packed Daytona Beach's Municpal Stadium on Friday, Nov. 7. Thousands of DeLand fans cheered the Bulldogs on through the first quarter, where the West Volusia team's Shontrelle Johnson set the pace with a 35-yard touchdown. The Bulldogs kept the Bucs at bay for a while but could not keep them from claiming the district title in this week's High School Playbook Showdown. Mainland came back in the second half to tack 21 points to the board with three consecuitve TDs.DeLand could only answer with one more touchdown and only a few minutes remaing in the game, ultimately losing the losing the district title to the Daytona Beach team.
